Gleneagle Tasmania luxury glamping accommodation is located at Riana in the heart of the North West region in close proximity to the Spirit of Tasmania terminal, airports, the iconic Cradle Mountain and the beautiful Port of Stanley.

Ample parking and EV charging compliments the fifty square meter domes,  perfectly designed for couples or singles that wish to escape the everyday, connect with nature and rejuvenate in this unique wellness retreat.

With panoramic views of the lake and the majestic Dial Range, the two domes sit comfortably within the natural environment.

Close to the seaside village of Penguin, you can enjoy a coffee by the sea, peruse the local boutique shops or dine in at the local restaurants.

  • The cleanest water and air in the world awaits you at our 46 ha property bordering the Dial Range Forest Reserve. Situated near Penguin on the rich North West Coast of Tasmania. With a plethora of natural fauna and flora in a very secluded environment, the Penguin Creek forms our landscaped lake with many sheltered fern tree gullies as it traverses the property. With over 50 species of birdlife identified, the property is also home to echidna, platypus, giant freshwater crayfish, pademelons, bats, Tasmanian Devils and quolls to name a few. A combination of ornamental and native trees provide a picturesque environment around the lake for the majority of the year. Wollemi Pines and a monkey puzzle feature in this area.

  • The campfire and bbq area at Gleneagle is a must-visit during your stay. With solar powered lighting and a memorable flushing toilet you can stay as long as you like. This elevated spot enjoys stunning views of the Bass Strait along to Table Cape and the southern hinterland to Mount Valentine. Local rich farming areas and brilliant night skies can be viewed from this area of our property with the occasional display of the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis).

    Access

    If you’ve brought your own vehicle you can drive within 300 metres of this location with a two wheel drive or embrace the whole distance during the summer months. All year access with 4WD vehicles. If you’d like a lift to this area our hosts would be more than happy to take you for a ride on their 4WD tractor. For those that enjoy a stroll you can take a casual walk with the backpack provided in your dome. Be sure if you’re heading out late to take the spotlights provided for nocturnal animal spotting along the way!

  • It’s hard to miss a full-sized replica of Michelangelo's David located in the gardens. This replica, constructed from the mould of the original, sits proudly within the host’s garden surroundings and is the only one of its kind in Australia. The mould is housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He is always open for a picture opportunity and worth a look under lights as well. Sit a while and enjoy your favorite beverage.

  • There are many tracks for casual strolls around our property with seating available around the lake for you to stop and admire your surroundings. Some areas are designated for particular domes to preserve the privacy of our guests.
